Our Practice
A careful practice for families navigating inheritance
Tarawat Counsel was founded on the belief that inheritance matters deserve unhurried attention and plain communication — not pressure or complexity.

How Tarawat Counsel came to be
Tarawat Counsel was established in Bangkok with a straightforward purpose: to help Thai families manage inheritance matters in a way that felt calm, clear, and dignified. The founding practitioners had seen, in earlier careers, how families in grief could be overwhelmed by legal processes that moved too quickly or communicated too little.
The practice takes its name from the Thai word for a steady, reliable presence. That quality — steadiness — is what we aim to bring to every matter. We work at a pace the family can follow, explain each step in language that does not require legal training to understand, and keep written records of everything so clients are never left uncertain about where things stand.
Today, the team handles estate reviews, succession document preparation, and estate disputes, across a range of family circumstances. Each matter, however straightforward, receives the same careful attention.
Our Mission
What guides our work
We listen first
Before any work begins, we take the time to understand the full situation — the people involved, the assets, and the family's concerns. This shapes everything that follows.
We write things down
Verbal reassurances are not enough. We summarise what was agreed, what was done, and what remains in writing, so clients always have a clear record.
We respect the pace that suits the family
Not all families are in a position to move quickly. Where timelines allow, we work at the speed that is comfortable for those involved.
The Team
The practitioners behind your matter
Each matter at Tarawat Counsel is handled by a named practitioner, not passed between staff. You know who is responsible for your case.
Praew Thammarat
Senior Practitioner
Praew leads estate reviews and dispute matters. She has worked in succession and civil law for over a decade and is known for her methodical approach and clear written summaries.
Nattapong Kanchai
Document & Liaison Practitioner
Nattapong specialises in succession document preparation and maintains established working relationships with district offices and relevant government departments across Bangkok.
Siriporn Wirat
Client Relations & Administration
Siriporn manages client communications and ensures that families always have a clear point of contact. She coordinates updates and handles the practical side of all ongoing matters.
Standards We Hold
How we conduct every matter
Strict confidentiality
Client information is held securely and disclosed only as required by the work. Our obligations as practitioners reinforce this.
Thai law compliance
All work is conducted in accordance with Thai Civil and Commercial Code requirements for succession and estate matters.
Written records throughout
Every consultation, agreement, and outcome is documented. Clients receive copies so there is no ambiguity about what was handled.
Named practitioner per matter
You are always told who is responsible for your case. Matters are not passed between staff without your knowledge.
Regular, plain updates
We communicate in language that does not require legal training to follow. If something is unclear, we take the time to explain further.
Respectful of all parties
In dispute matters, we aim to preserve relationships wherever possible, recognising that most families must continue to live alongside each other after a matter concludes.
Inheritance Legal Services in Bangkok
Tarawat Counsel operates from Taling Chan, Bangkok, serving families across the city and surrounding districts. The practice focuses entirely on inheritance and succession matters — estate assessments, succession documentation, court-adjacent processes, and family dispute resolution within the framework of Thai succession law.
Thai succession law, as set out in the Civil and Commercial Code, defines the order of heirs, the requirements for valid wills, and the procedures for administering estates where no will exists. Navigating these requirements, particularly in estates involving property, multiple heirs, or contested positions, calls for careful preparation and familiarity with local district office procedures.
Families who come to Tarawat Counsel often arrive uncertain about the process ahead. Our role is to make that process legible — to explain what is required, carry out the necessary steps, and keep the family informed throughout. The aim is not to move as fast as possible, but to handle each matter correctly and with the care it deserves.
